Better late than never I guess with a Sunday Scan in the afternoon! The new scan this week is the cover to Incredible Hulk #179 (1974). The art is by the phenomenally underrated Herb Trimpe. Trimpe was a Marvel regular for decades including the ’60s, ’70s & ’80s. I remember Trimpe having this clean fun style that popped off the page. I LOVED his Godzilla and Shogun Warriors stuff! This cover is great example of the Trimpe style. It’s certainly a less grim and gritty and more animated Hulk time. Sadly the world lost Herb Trimpe on April 13th 2015 but his work is still here for us to enjoy.

  1. Nothing is better than reading vintage hulk comics on Sundays.
