CBR and Blog@Newsarama are reporting that celebrated comic artist and all around great guy Michael Turner has passed away. He was 37 and had long battled cancer. I am so glad I got a chance to briefly meet/talk to him at Wizard World Chicago in 2005. He was actually leaving by the time I got to the Aspen booth. It wasn’t even an official autograph session. But I sort of hollered at him, got his attention and he graciously signed a copy of this Agency cover (click the thumbnail for larger). From my own very limited experience as well as all the accounts I’ve read, Michael Turner was one of the Good Guys and he will be greatly missed.
