I’m going to rescan many (eventually all?) of my comic collection’s cover images in “Retina Ready” resolutions and High Quality settings with low compression. See here for the technical specs:

So I decided to share my Top 100 here -one cover per post as I have time. I’ll try to do at least one a day. This is in count-down style starting with 100 and working my way up to my number one favorite of all time. Now do understand I only considered books that are already indexed and scanned in my current collection as of right now. Many great books are NOT yet part of the 5,000 or so I currently have covers scanned for.
Number 100:
X-Treme X-Men #35 (Marvel Comics – 2004)
Cover art by Salvador Larroca
Colors by Liquid!
(Click the thumbnail to load a High Quality 2,048 pixel height version)
This is a great example of Larroca’s stuff where they colored directly over his pencils with NO INKING whatsoever! Awesome and clean. I like the black costumes….Storm is rocking the short hair and Rogue is sexy and confident. What’s not to like? Check back tomorrow night for #99.
That cover’s OK, I guess, but it doesn’t really pop to me. It just feels very generic.

Well it IS at the bottom of my 100 favorites (and that’s only out of 5,000 or so I currently have scanned). But I like it. Not a lot of Larroca I don’t like.

I like the costume (stealth mode/army gear) of the team here! It gives a real image of power!
